I cannot install the Active RMA agent to my server. Everytime I try to Install it as a service. I get this message:
"Cannot open Service Control Manager. Access is Denied"
I'm Installing it on a server running Windows SBS 2008 64bit server.

Hi Alex, I was able to install it on our VMserver by following your instructions. However I have one big issue. The RMAs wont connect to the RMA Manager. It's seems that they can't find the server. I've checked the firewall and made sure ports are open. We are also using the same public IP on the ne...

Migrating Hostmonitor to a VM Server
Hi Everyone,
I have been using hostmonitor for 2 years now. I just want to ask what are the steps to take if we want to migrate from a Physical Server to a Virtual Server? Is this possible? Everyone is heading towards Virtualization so we decided to migrate HM to a VM.
Thanks.
Lawrence

Re: RMA connection issues
We are monitoring services on server which are located in different locations. Our central Host Monitor is connected to servers via live IPs and configured to receive updates of all the servers using RMA agent installed on them. Without any changes being done to either the server(Hostmonitor), clie...

Thanks Alex, using the domain admin account instead of the local system account fixed it. I guess I overlooked that part of the Manual. Its still weird though that the other servers are connecting and having good test results (services, etc) eventhough the local system account credentials was logon ...

Automatic call when server goes down
hi guys! I dont know if this was asked before.
i just want to ask is there a feature or a program out there that can work together with Hostmonitor to trigger a call instead of an email or an SMS when a server goes down? it can be a recorded message or a trigger to the fone system.
Thanks.
