H'm, spent all day reading manuals and forums but did not find useful information :-(
Will try to narrow search field but I need some more information:
- what version of Windows do you use?
- is system where HostMonito is running domain controler or member of the domain?
- exactly version of HostMonitor?
Yes, I tried a different local account (not Local System account) and it was not the Admin account.
BTW: Only admin has rights to check CPU Usage, Processes, Performance Counters on remote systems. So, you should use administrator's account.

If I will not find solution, there are 2 possible way:
1) follow Marcus advise - start service under admin account (using standard Service application to change account, not HostMonitor's Options dialog). In this case you will not be able to check service directly, but you can use reports, logs, and web service.
2) use RMA to perform these tests.

Regards
Alex
