How to send Chinese charset in SMS message

Hi support,

I want to send Chinese charset in SMS message. Which charset shall I use in sms template option?

If any charset, suggested by "Charset" dropdown, does not suit your needs, you may specify charset manualy. For instance, you may specify GB2312, GBK, Big5 or ISO-2022-CN encodings.

Great! It can be maually specified.
I tried GBK GB2312 but SMS still can not display Chinese char. English char is ok to display.

Any other config I should use? Or if I should contact China Mobile to find which charset they use?

Also what is this charset use for.?
This charset is used tell the local server (HM installed on ) which charset should it use to send SMS?

Select HostMonitor menu Profiles -> Mail Profiles...
then select profile and manually type character set in "Charset" field.

Nieaicai, what exactly Action do you use to send SMS ?
- Send SMS (GSM modem)
- Send SMS (SMPP)
- Send e-mail (SMPT) (e-mail to SMS gateway)

today is monday ,
but not good luck.
i try sms by gsm modem by GB2312, GBK, Big5 or ISO-2022-CN encodings. still can not support chinese
but my modem can support send chinese by other application.

still needs other setting?

Yes, today is Monday.
Sorry, there is no charset option for "Send SMS (GSM)" action, yet.
Charset option works for "Send e-mail" action.
