Test for RMA Availability

Post by dmuller »

I am probably being dense, but is there a way to make a test to check to see if an RMA agent is alive before running the tests connected to it?

TCP Test

Post by dmuller »

Ok, I set up a new TCP test to the remote IP RMA port of 1055. Do I need to send data? It always shows down for all tests I set up this way even though the RMAs are up.

No, you do not.

I suppose, it happens because RMA's port is opened on the firewall, while other ports you specify were blocked by firewall.

Huh?

The RMA port is 1055 for a specific RMA. THe RMA works just fine. If, however, I set up a TCP Test to port 1055 to that specific RMA, it always comes back as down.

Cannot reproduce the problem. What version of HostMonitor/RMA do you use? Windows? Service Pack?
