We are using RCC from the latest package. At least we think we are. We did a full enterprise update. The file date on rcc.exe is 6/11/2006. Is this the wrong version?

RCC Incompatible Vesion

Since updating to the latest stable version, we cannot use RCC. We receive the following.

Ok, found the problem. It was a firewall issue, it would appear that the 'Time Sync' test utility will give you a false sense of it working correctly. Host Monitor is working now. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, I have opened up the WAN port for NTP. How would you like me to send you the address?

SNTP check

I have a edge router providing time services to the core network. I have added a NTP check in Host Monitor but it fails with no response. I can test the time service using Time Sync found here http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptsync.asp and it is working correctly.

Missing Event Log Entries

I have a question about the Even Log monitoring. I have a test to monitor the security log for all failed logins with a 5 minute interval. The problem I am seeing is that I only receive an alert on the last entry in that min 5 windows. If there were 10 failed logins I only receive a notice on the la...

I just tried my first WMI test (using 6.04) and I am getting the same issue described here. HMA is running as a service with an account with domain admin access. All other tests are working but WMI fails with 'Access is Denied'. I had to create an entry in the Connection Manager for the server I am ...

I would like to add to this. We are currently evaluating several products. Having the agents talk to the Manager server would really help with out decision. Not having to mess with clients firewalls would greatly speed up deployment of a monitoring solution. I have been leaning heavily towards Intel...

Multiple Event ID Syntax

I just want to check on the syntax when monitoring multiple Event ID's on a single monitor. Is it comma delimited or space delimited?

Actions

I have a "bad" action that waits for 3 failures of a test before sending an e-mail. I have a "good" action that sends an email when the test is successful again. The problem is that the "good" actions triggers even if the "bad" action only had 1 or 2 failures....
