I monitor several items through Hostmonitor 4.07 running on a Win2k Prof. desktop (SP4).
One of the items that I monitor is a web server (Win2k) that leaks memory over time. The test I configured is to check for available memory and reboot the web server when available memory goes below 48MB.
This test works and the web server gets rebooted. After the reboot, HostMonitor receives an 'Unknown' status for available memory for all subsequent tests for this web server. The only way to fix it is to close HostMonitor and re-open it.
After having read your notes on pdh.dll, I added PerfWorkMode to the HostMon.ini's MISC section. I tried all three settings for
PerfWorkMode (0,1,2) but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions?

Unknown status after issuing a reboot
Re: Unknown status after issuing a reboot
Yes, I do use 'Connect as' and provide an account different from the one logged-in. The 'connect as' account has enough rights to the server being monitored.

Sorry for delay, tried to find solution.
I am afraid its one of that problems that we cannot investigate.
But I think there is simple workaround: install RMA in that server and use agent to perform the test.
