Turn off the Modem sound

How can I turn off the modem's sound? I have Windows XP and the modem sound is at off in the control panel.
I have try to put ATM0 in the init field, it doesn't work.

Are you talking about "Send message to pager (TAP)" action?
Try to use "ATZM0~" as init string (option located on Pagers page in the Options dialog). It works for me.

Correction: the init string "ATM0~" work for me and "ATZM0~" doesn't. Anyway I am able to turn off this noisy sound!
