Web Interface

I see that in Host Monitor 4.07 that I can setup user profiles on the RCI component.
For those profiles I can tell it that a user can add tests via the web interface, yet on the web interface I dont see controls to let me do this.
How do I set that up?

Not exactly. User profile does not define how user can add test (using web service, telnet service, or HostMointor itself), it just defines user has permission to add test or not. E.g. user may login locally and add test using HostMonitor.
Web Service does not have posibility to add new tests. In future we will implement another utility that will allow configure HostMonitor remotely.

RCI page in the Options dialog does not have check box that allow user to add tests. RCI page just have button that calls User Profiles dialog.

User Profiles dialog is different dialog, its not 100% related to Options only. You can call it from menu User as well. Its like when you configure "Send e-mail" action you may click "Mailer settings" button and in the Option dialog change parameter of the mailer. Or when you configure report profile you may call Colors dialog. Or when you change folder properties you may call Report Manager dialog.
Don't you think its useful?
Anyway, what we argue about?

Im not arguing.. i was just trying to understand the dialog boxes i was seeing.
the RCI setup\profiles boxes makes it seem like i can add tests via the web interface.
that portion is greatly anticipated

No, Web Interface does not have function that allows you to add tests.
User Profiles dialog defines what rights have users independently on how user connected to HostMonitor (locally, using Web Service, or Telnet Service).
In future versions will be implemented another utility that will allow you to configure HostMonitor remotely.
