We are seriously looking into purchacing a unlimited version of host monitor, but we are having some problems with the log's and graphing.
We will know that a system went down, and when, but the host monitor stats don't show that it even happened, I think this might be due to the evaluation popup because if I manually force the test to run, it dhows the current status of the test.
1. Does the evaluation popup box halt all testing? If so, how can I evaluate the reporting and logs over time.
2. Is there any way to temporatly disable this dialog so that I can evaluate testing over a 24 or 48 hour period?
3. One of the main gripes from my boss it that it's hard to use the graphing and stitistics to determine when a system went down, when it came back up, if it had latency before it went down etc. can you give me any tips?
Thanks, it looks like we'll be getting hostmonitor, but I have to sell it's features, and reporting is a huge selling point to my bosses.
Question regarding evaluation version
>1. Does the evaluation popup box halt all testing?
Yes. We know this window is annoying. But we forcedly implemented this feature. We have bad experiance with another product (IP-Tools) which use more than 100,000 users but we have not many registrations. Because IP-Tools displays registration dialog very seldom.
