Tests hangs in "Checking.."

Post by Stoltze »

AHM 8.29@W2K3 as service
RMA active 4.00@W2K3 as service

After network issues or high CPU usage on server where RMA active is installed on, the tests hangs..

Sometimes for as much as 20minutes.. :(

Seems to remember something about this, not long ago in another thread, but can't remember exactly..

Is it possible so have AHM kill these waiting tests much earlier..?
It's just simple Ping tests..

Reloading agents using RMA manager solves the problem..

20 min?? HostMonitor should drop any "checking" test within 15 min. Unless you have changed "ProbeTimeout" parameter.
You may check (or add) ProbeTimeout parameter that is located in [Misc] section of hostmon.ini file. This parameter specifies timeout in seconds.
E.g.
[Misc]
ProbeTimeout=600

sets timeout to 10 min.
Note: you should restart HostMonitor after such modification.
