Dear Alex,
up to now I manually created my SNMP tests for InErrors and OutErrors using method "SNMP" and "increases /sec" with value of "0.01"
It's much easier to use the new method of "Traffic Monitor".
Problem:
The least value I can use there is "1 pkt/sec"
As interfaces should be error free, I think that is not sufficient.
Testing for example every 5 minutes (300 sec) will allow 299 errors during that time (less than 1 / sec). That is from my point of view too many.
Suggestion:
- We need to specify the value as a real value (i.e. 0.01)
- or use "pkt/msec" as a unit.
Traffic Monitor: Errors / Discards per second
New methodIt's much easier to use the new method of "Traffic Monitor".

It was implemented almost 2 years ago

HostMonitor also provides "pkt/min" option. "1 pkt/min" == "0.0166 pkt/sec"Testing for example every 5 minutes (300 sec) will allow 299 errors during that time (less than 1 / sec). That is from my point of view too many.
Unless I misunderstand the problem?
Regards
Alex
