Report for one test only

Post by johnm »

Is it possible to create a report for a single test?

I think there are two ways to do it.

1. For certain test you should create private log and use this log file in LogAnalyzer.
2. In Report Manager you should create new report profile, in "Include following tests" you must check certain test. Then you should add into "Black list" the names of any other tests the same test type, if there are exist.

Thanks for the reply. However, I do not understand about the "blacklist". Where is this report setting or criteria?

It's simple.

1. You should run Log Analyzer.
2. Load log file
3. Invoke Report Manager (Menu Reports > Report Manager)
4. Than you should create new or modify existing profile on your own.
5. In the middle of Report Manager window you can see "Table Settings" area. Here you are able to select tests and tests fields, that will be represented in report. Next to these listboxes there is a dropdown "Use Black List","Use white list",etc. Here you can specify Test name, that you want to see in report (White list) or exclude from report (Black list).

For more information, read the manual, pls.

BTW. What version of Log Analyzer do you use?

May be JohnM does not use Log Analyzer. HostMonitor can generate reports as well. If you are using HostMonitor, put test into separate folder
If JohnM is using Log Analyzer, then he should use "White list" option (not Black list).
