Hi Alex,
I continue to enjoy working with your product...Thanks!
It would be convenient to have a separate search window popup with the
results of a query. For example,
I would like to search for the text "system log" within all of my tests and return the results (all of the testnames that contain the phrase "system log") to a new window where I could edit ALL of their properties at one time.
I recently wanted to change the interval for all tests that had the text "system log" in the testname column. Currently, the only way I know how to do this is #1 Manually, one-by-one #2 Do search - continue to hit F3 until all are selected, then scroll through all tests to make sure those selected are what you need or #3 Export the tests, peform some sort of search and replace and re-import the tests. Option #3 isn't always easy to do depending on the complexity of the change.
Thanks,
Mark

There is simpler solution:I recently wanted to change the interval for all tests that had the text "system log" in the testname column.
#1, #2 - the same
#3 - just click Edit button on toolbar. HostMonitor will open "Edit properties" dialog where you can change some settings for every selected test (at once). You may change interval, schedule, alert profile, list of master tests, etc

New Search Window
Hi Alex,
That is what I do now. After, I hit F3 and select them all...I then right click and choose Edit. I was just referring to the process of "querying"\ searching for tests. It would be nice for the search results to appear in their own window so we would be able to scroll through just the results rather than the hundreds or thousands of tests below ROOT. And either unselect some if necessary - rather then scrolling through the list and having to CTRL-click as needed. Not a high priority - just a management time saver when major test restructuring is required.
Thanks again,
Mark
