In Connection Manager, you can see how long a password is, depending on the number of *, not good, you should always display the same amount of ******, for example 20.

May be you are right. But.. to be able to check Connection Manager settings user must have "configure tests/folders" permission. If user have this permission, he can export setting into text file and check all passwords that are used in testlist.
So, what the reason to hide ****? Probably better do not assign "configure tests/folders" permission to everyone?
