Oracle tests and sessions

Post by ChristianD »

In an earlier post I saw the explanation of the Oracle Test:

-
When HostMonitor performs Oracle test it uses OCIServerAttach and OCISessionBegin fuctions (oci.dll) to create a user session and begins a user session for a given server. If session established, HostMonitor closes session and sets "host is alive" status.
-

This works great, but when the user that is being used for this test has a wrong password hostmonitor doesn't close the session on the Oracle server. Is there a solution for this problem?
