Import Export Examples Out of Date

Post by mmonaghan »

Alex,

I'm developing a database backend to manage our test files. Since the import1.txt example file is a bit out of date I thought I'd be slick and import it into version 4, then export it to get a list of the tests and paameters. Much to my surprise this is what I got instead...
Opening input file "C:\Program Files\HostMonitor4\Examples\import1.txt" .. Ok
Reading ..
I/O Error: Cannot read file "c:\command.com" specified in line #212
Wrong parameter in line #245
Wrong parameter in line #247
Wrong parameter in line #248
Wrong parameter in line #257
Unknown test name in line #96
Unknown test name in line #98
Unknown test name in line #99
Done
tasks imported: 33
errors: 8
warnings: 0
So, is there an up to date version of the import file? I'm using 4.10.

HTML version available at www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/examples/import1.htm

Alex,

Thanks for the updated file. While that file fixes the errors it still appears to be missing things. For example, "DefaultFolder" is not documented and the value "Root\" isn't either. Any chance this will be updated? I could do this by trial and error, but it will be much more accurate if I didn't have to guess. :o

Thanks,

Mike

"Root" its just name of the folder. "DefaultFolder" defines target folder for a tests defined below. If DefaultFolder command is not used, tests will be imported into current directory.
