Ports needed by HostMon

Hello,

we implemented two Master tests on every server we monitor: Ping & RMAService

They are performed by HostMon itself, all dependent tests (except for LDAP, NTP and DNS) by RMAgents.

Is it possible to configure HostMon to use other ports than 445 to check servics on remote servers? We do not want to open firewall port 445.

But no it is not, that's why rma agents are created. If an rma agent does not answer, don't worry you wil know.

When tests are performed by agent, you don't need to open any port except port that is used by agent itself (1055 by default)...
If you want to check agent (Master test), you may use TCP test (port 1055) instead of Service test.
