Web Interface Changes

Post by TonyPombo »

Would like the following changes to the web interface:

- When using the autologin feature, provide a "logout button" so you can relogin as another user.

- When using the autologin feature, the preferences are shared by all users. Provide an option to save options per-user/machine (standard cookie).

- Need a way to change the font to a smaller size without changing the global browser preferences.

- Would like option to change the typeface from Times to Arial.

Its hard to implement. I mean "logout" button can disable "auto login" option, no problems here. But you want to disable "auto login" just for now, just for this IP. Right? What means "now"? 5 min? 1 day?
Its better to implement some "login as" button...

Will be implemented but not soon.

These option, probably, will be implemented soon

PS
You need just a couple minutes to setup 2 instances of Web Service - one with "auto login" option enabled, another with "auto login" option disabled (of course you need to setup different TCP ports for each copy)

Good idea. I will probably do that.

We really need a way to display more tests on the screen at a time. Switching the font type to Arial and decreasing the font size would accomplish this. The browser lets us change the display size, but not enough.

Thanks for your consideration.

Next version of HostMonitor will be able to produce "dashboard" reports. Like this http://www.ks-soft.net/-/dashboard2.htm
Probably we implement such view for Web Service as well
