100% CPU usage by HostMonitor as a service

We found that sometimes HostMonitor is using 100% of CPU in our server and the only way to fix it is to restart the service. We don't know what to check or how to debug to know where the problem is.

OS: Windows 2000 Server SP4 + all released HotFixes to date
HM: version 4.40c

What kind of tests do you use?
Could you send your settings (*.HML, *.LST, *.INI files) to support@ks-soft.net?
