SMTP string

Hi all,

We have started SMTP testing this week, and found that there are huge amount of connection lost.

We highligh this to the firewall vendors and they have indicated the root cause was due to the invalid smtp messages. The testing message was
"\r\n".

I would like to know whether is there any way we can customize the smtp messages for the testing? We would like to send noop\r\n instead.

Any help is greatly appreicated.

Not sure I understand the problem.
1) What version of HostMonitor do you use?
2) What test method do you use?
SMTP test? In this case I do not understand what is invalid SMTP message. HostMonitor does not send just "\r\n", it sends "HELLO <hostname>\r\n", may send "VRFY .. \r\n\", also sends "QUIT\r\n" but it does not send empty string. I just checked code. Probably old version...
