All the tests (~25) for CPU and process checking were hung in the "checking" mode. I disabled and enabled the tests and they still went straight to checking and stayed there. I created a new CPU test and it came back OK and all of a sudden all the CPU and process tests went from "checking" to "OK".
So, I thought it was fixed but they have all gone back to "checking" and stuck there.
I'm using version 3.69 with one of the fixes (maybe g).
Tests for CPU and processes hanging
I uploaded test program to www.ks-soft.net/download/proctest1.zip
It continuously performs Process test and displays CPU time for each Windows API function that are used by HostMonitor.
It may help to find which API function hungs. Could you try it? You just need to specify target system (like \\servername) and optionally user name and password, and click "Start testing" button.
BTW What Windows do you have installed?
Also I would recommend upgrade HostMonitor to version 3.71 (or to version 4.10)

I ran the program and it shows how many tests it performed and none fail.
I am upgraded to 3.71 running on Windows 2000 server and still won't work. I then moved hostmonitor to another 2000 Server that is only running one program and it fails there too.
The CPU and process tests are the only ones. I also use ping, services, event log, available disk space, and others and they are all fine. For the process and CPU tests, they are testing about 20 different servers so I doubt they are all having problems and switching the location of Host monitor would lead me to believe that something is wrong with the program. I have also done a brand new install, started a new file, added some different tests and the CPU and process tests just keep checking.

I think I found a pattern while testing.
I created a brand new file and added a ping, two CPU's, service and process test. If I start up HM with that test, everything works fine. I then open my production file and the CPU and process tests keep checking and are never ok. I then open the brand new file again (without every closing HM), and the CPU and process tests keep checking and don't work anymore.
It's almost like the production file is corrupted and then messes up something for the working new file. Some things I've done is export to a txt file, imported it to a new file, but that isn't fixing the problem.
After all this if I close HM and start it with the new file, it works fine until I repeat the process above.

To me it looks like error appears when HostMonitor tries to check some tests simultaneously. E.g. 2 CPU Usage tests + Performance Counter test + Process test + 2 Services tests at the same time.
It cannot be error in HML file because you tried to export/import tests.
Anyway, could you send your HML file for testing (of course it will be much better to test HostMonitor in your environment but...)?
