Don't want to use RMA

Post by jordydk »

Hello,

Hopefully you can help me with the following thing.

We want to rearange our Server park and don't want to use a domain anymore.

We have some servers that are not connected to the domain and for that servers we now use RMA.
But if I want to do it for all the other servers, we don't have enough RMA licenses and need to but 10 - 15 more :O.

Is there a way to use Hostmonitor without using RMA if the server is not in a domain anymore?

Problem now is, I can read the ping test, but the tests below don't work anymore:
- CPU usage
- Free space C
- Free space D
- Last OS update
- Free Physical memory
- System uptime
- Registery strings
- OS version

Network is as followed:

Hostmonitor VLAN 5 (172.50.0.5) (in domain)
Fresh server VLAN 10 (172.10.0.2) (not in domain)

The fresh server was reinstalled, and before the server was in the domain and the tests worked without RMA.

Hopefully you can tell me how of what to confige this.

Also read below forum post, but don't know what the do now:

Thx :).

Use Connection Manager and provide accounts with necessary rights on target systems
https://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfr ... htm#conmgr

- CPU Usage, Performance Counter test methods require: "Performance Monitor Users" (Power User works as well)
- Last OS update, WMI tests, Dominant Process and Memory tests require "Distributed COM Users" and "Performance Monitor Users" rights
- Free space C - depends on what exactly test method and settings do you use. HostMonitor may use WMI or SNMP or "normal" file system Windows API
- Free space D - depends on what exactly test method and settings do you use. HostMonitor may use WMI or SNMP or "normal" file system Windows API
- Free Physical memory - depends on what exactly settings do you use.HostMonitor may use WMI or SNMP
- System uptime - there is no such test method. May be you are using SNMP Get or Performance Counter test
- OS version - there is no such test method. May be you are using WMI test?
