web console - column width of the field "Reply" to

Post by rc »

Hi Alex,

is it maybe possible, the column width of the field "reply" in that web console adjustable to make?

At the moment only 25 signs are indicated.
However, I need approx. 50 signs for some tests.

Can one give the default maybe in that webservice.ini?

Many thanks beforehand

Web interface does not set any specific width for the fields (fields that show test name, status, reply).
This way web browsers may split fields automatically.

E.g. If you have selected many fields or some field need to be wide because of long text in it (e.g. long test name) then other fields will be narrow. If you select less fields to be displayed or you expand IE/Opera/Firefox window, fields will be wider.

This statement must be wrong.
Even if I fade out all columns up to "Reply", are indicated no more than 25 signs.

Other columns like "Ack comment" or "test of name" are indicated against it always completely, if requested also with word wrap.

Unfortunately, only the column "Reply" never becomes broader, all the same how big the browser window also is :(

You are right, I forgot about one option
You may add MaxReplyChars=40 line into [HTML] section (webservice.ini file) and restart Web Service.

Web Service version: v3.82
browser: Firefox 13.0.1 and IE8

sample of web reply field:

sample in web quick log:
