I'm running HM as Win32 service under a user with sufficient priveleges.
Here are a set of queries :
1. How do I configure the service to start a particular HML file. Currently it uses a HML file which was last loaded.
2. When service is running can how can I make changes to the HML file? Can HML-Manager help in this regards?
3. On editing the HML file do I need to restart the service?
4. How do I log the macros like %NTEventSource% to a log-file (say Common log)?
Thanks in advance
Harsh
Some Issues with HM as a Service
>I'm running HM as Win32 service under a user with sufficient priveleges.

Use options located on Startup page in the Options dialog.

Start HostMonitor's service under "local system" account and you will be able to interact with HostMonitor's GUI. To perform tests properly setup user account with sufficient priveleges on Service page in the Options dialog.
>3. On editing the HML file do I need to restart the service?
If you use another instance of HostMonitor or HML Manager to edit HML file, yes you need to restart service. Better stop service before editing and start it again when editing is done.
>4. How do I log the macros like %NTEventSource% to a log-file (say Common log)?
Text, DBF, and HTML log files have fixed format that cannot be changed. You can use ODBC logging option for this purpose.
