If you right click on the root folder in hostmonitor and click on Statistics, there is an option to reset statistics every month. Then there is a check box to create reports before reseting statistics. I have both of this checked. Statistics are reseting, but the reports don't automatically run before they are reset.
Any ideas. I need the reports to run once a month either in txt or dbf format so after each quarter, I can do my own rollup..
Thanks

Monthly reports
I've been away from this for awhile.. Now that I am back to it, If I put in the action profile in when the statistics get regenerated, what kind of schedule should I put it in... Will it work with once a day?
Not sure I understand you.
Are you talking about "Execute action profile before reset statistics"? In this case I do not undestand why/where do you want to apply some additional schedule? Actions will be executed before statistics will be cleared. Its your choice when statistisc should be cleared. Dayly, weekly, monthly - its your choice...

Sorry, I guess I am the one who is really confused.. I pick Excute action profile "reports" when the stats get cleared..
But when I went INTO the action profile "Reports". There are good status actions and bad status actions. I did not know if I had to put any type of schedule in there. I thought maybe I had to put the once a month schedule in there as well.

No, you don't need to apply special schedule for this action. But you need to change "Condition to start action" from "standard mode" to "on the schedule". You may put action into "Good" or "Bad" section, it will not effect "scheduled" action (in this case 2 sections provide just visial separation).

Regardson the schedule
Unlike standard and advanced actions that are triggered by events related only to the tests, scheduled actions are conformable to the schedule. They also may be triggered by some "global" events (e.g. HostMonitor can start "scheduled" actions when user stops monitoring). There are several places where you can use scheduled actions:
[...skip...]
It is a good idea to create separate action profiles for standard/advanced actions and for scheduled actions.
