Read Email sent to Hostmonitor

Alex,

We have used Hostmonitor for a really long time. We have asked about this before and think it would help make testing simpler. We want to be able to send an email to hostmonitor and have it read the sender, recipient, subject, and text (possibly html) content of the message. We have written our own code to do this but it would be MUCH better if Hostmonitor could do it. I thinks may users would like this.

On many of our devices we have the option of sending an email on failure. Some have multiple methods, such as SNMP, but some do not, and only support email. So analyzing an email will quickly solve the problem of detecting failures or errors on these devices.

Further we have a help desk system and we can send it an email message and then it auto generates a trouble ticket, but if we could send the email to Hostmonitor we would have central control and the we could analyze the email before we send it to our help desk ticket system.
