testing if my sevrers have the right time

Post by mlimtl »

Hi,

We had a problem with our NTP server last week and now I have to test if all my servers have the right time ... :-(

I really don't know if HM can do that. I have to get the time on my servers and then compare it to our ntp server or maybe to the server hosting HM. I
have to check Windows and Linux servers ...

any idea ?

HostMonitor can retrieve time from NTP servers and compare to local time (NTP/SNTP test method)

Sometimes I look to far for nothing :-)

If anyone had the same question, here what to do for testing time on a linux box :

- run ntp on the linux server
- test HM server against the ntp service on the linux box ...

So simple that I feel the obligation to write about that !
