Is it possible to use the current folder name in an expression to define a master test? I want to be able to copy all tests from one folder to another. All tests can be configured using variables like %folder% or %fvar_ip% for test parameters. Unfortunately if I define a master test (e.g. ping host1) for a folder it remains the same after copying the tests to another folder. But in the new folder I want to have an other test (e.g. ping host2) defined as master test automatically.
I tried defining an expression but if I use the %folder% variable it gets expanded at once and I get an error...
How to use e.g. %Folder variable in dependant (master) test?

Alex,
Loosely related - It doesn't appear I can use the %Folder% variable in the Folder Properties\Reports "Generate to file" option. This would greatly help in naming, organizing, and distributing my reports. I could also set up a single, high level reports configuration and inherit these options.
Am I missing something, or should this be added to the Wish list?

If folder inherits report settings, usually this means folder does not create its own reports at all. Test items located in the folder included in reports specified for the parent folder.
Unless you are using "Generate reports" action. In such case you may choose any folder so support of the %folder% variable may be usefull
Not sure how reports can be related to original "Master test - patterns" question? I think its better to use different topics for complette different questions.
