Used to use a product called NagVis, to overlay the condition of a group of servers on a graphic (in our case, I had GB, with drill down into sites, then into comms rooms on sites, finally to a photo of the rack with a traffic light for each component), from the Nagios results.
It was a nice way to get an oversight, and accessible by browser so our Ops could project it nice and big...
I'd love something similar in AHM - overlay folder status on a graphic... it's eye candy but it'd be really nice. We are using AHM across EMEA now (500 servers or so) so drill down from an EMEA map into Country or site would actually be useful as well... maybe append local contact info.
What do you think?
Graphical Overlay of folder status
We plan something like this but I am not sure it will be implemented in version 8.
Nagvis works with Nagios, right? So may be you can setup Nagvis to work with HostMonitor? Does it receives some messages from Nagios? SNMP Trap? Syslog?
Probably Nagvis takes information directly from database managed by Nagios? HostMonitor can record logging data into any ODBC datasource but I think it could be difficult to integrade with some 3rd party software...
