Password for RMA in rma.ini

Post by Wabiloo »

Hi,

I'm writing an application to automatically install and configure large numbers for RMAs.

From reading previous posts and looking at the stuff myself, I understand that to install an RMA automatically on a remote machine, I only have to
1. Copy the RMA_Win directory to the remote machine
2. Configure the rma.ini
3. Use RMAInstaller to install it as a service and run it.

However, one thing I didn't quite find out how to do, is to automatically set the agent password in the configuration of the RMA.
Because I want to do it automatically, I cannot use the rma_cfg app.

The password seems to be stored in the rma.ini file, under Data1 and/or Data2. However, can you tell me how this is generated, and how I can therefore automatically generate a full rma.ini for an agent with the password I have decided for the RMA? (which will be different for every RMA)
