Hi Alex,
Is it in your plans to create a new page in the options menu (or on the automatic popup saying that there is a new version of HostMonitor) that woud allow us to click something like "update now" that would download the latest version and install it?
Also > I would like this option to detect if I have a local RMA on the HM server and also update it...
Thanks.

Re: Auto Update of HostMonitor?
Actually, "Update check" option was introduced in version 5.82Robert_in_MTL wrote:Is it in your plans to create a new page in the options menu (or on the automatic popup saying that there is a new version of HostMonitor) that woud allow us to click something like "update now" that would download the latest version and install it?
You may use menu item "Help" -> "Update check" to check for software updates at any time convenient for you. If new version detected, HostMonitor will inform logged in operator. HostMonitor also checks your license and informs operator about validity of the registration code for this new version. However, that option allows you to download the newest version only. You should install it manually.
Also you may enable "Update check" option in "Options" > "Miscellaneous" tab > "Update check" area. This option tells HostMonitor to check for software updates at http://www.ks-soft.net/ every 3rd night.
Regards,
Max

I know and I use it like you wrote... It is useful
What I meant is that HM could update itself by pressing a button somewhere... Something like Adobe Acrobat or Java JVM : A new update is available, would you like to install it now? If you click yes, the update is automatically downloaded AND installed.
That's what I meant
Also, RCC could do the same: "A newer version of RCC is available on the HM server, RCC will update to this version".
Maybe it is not possible, but still... This is a wish list right? That was my wish

H'm.. how much time you can save using this option? 1 min every month? What I meant is that HM could update itself by pressing a button somewhere... IMHO This option is more usefull, I have added this task into "to do" list. Also, RCC could do the same: "A newer version of RCC is available on the HM server, RCC will update to this version"
Regards
Alex
