Record info into HM log?

Post by Hanus »

Hi!

I need to record the status off all tests into the log tvice a day. I already get the status logged at midnight, but I need to do this at other times also.
I have set up a scheduled action via Options-->Schedule with an action profile that contains the action "Record info into HM log". The condition for the action to execute is "On the schedule", and action parameters is to record into common log and private log.
However, nothing is written to the log. What am I missing out?
Can you help me?

Regards

This action records information regarding specific test item, so action should be assigned to test item.
If you need status of all tests twice a day, it does not look like log at all. We call this "report". You may setup various reports usign Report Manager (menu Profiles -> Report profiles) and generate these reports using either
1) options located on Reports page in the Options dialog
2) "Generate reports" action that can be started on the schedule
3) also there are folder-level options located on Reports page in Folder Properties dialog

Status recorded into the log

Post by Hanus »

Hi again.

I am already using the option to generate reports on a schedule.
What I wanted was the status off all tests recorded into the log at a specific time, just like the midnight logging.
This would be a great feature as it would make it easier to calculate up/down-time within the garanteed uptime-period that we offer.
I guess that this is one for the wishlist then :) .
