Hi Alex,

Now we are really killing HP OpenView and starting to use HostMonitor as our complete test and monitoring tool ( aprox 400 tests), so I have a few whishes

• Ability to run Statistics from the RCC client

• Right-clicking a test makes it possible to run the alerts profile again.

• The RCC interface is sometimes blinking heavily when updating

• Force comment with pausing/disabling test/tests. Also register operator name

• The right-click function “Disable this folder” on a test is quite dangerous as it is totally independent on the test that are selected, it works on the selected branch in the tree structure. By accident it is very easy to disable too much, or worst case – from “Root”

• Autoconnect for the RCC when connection is lost

• Import can create folders

• “Branding” – the possibility to assign jpg images to folders/tests – perhaps make a folder that contains icons where the icon-background is colored red/green etc.

If your log files/odbc database available over network, you may start Log Analyzer on remote system and check statistics.

Right-clicking a test makes it possible to run the alerts profile again

We plan to implement some sort of quick log for actions. I think it will provide "repeat action' option.

Ok, I have added medium priority task.

HostMonitor version 6.75+ asks for confirmation when active folder contains subfolders and there are more than 15 test items on screen

Well, this option was implemented about 2 years ago in version 4.40

Great, some comments:

In the mean time I have managed to set up LogAnalyzer locally against my SQL Database, this is pretty nice and works well (has some datatype issues, but they are solved)

I will do a short post later on the setup.

I was thinking of the repeat of an "Alert profile"; have You ever considered splitting this in 2 parts:

Actions : Restart, running scripts etc

Notification: Sending mails, SMS'es and stuff.

Im am thinking when I want to repeat the action - like service restart - I actually dont want to notify operators again.

I think you just may use few actions (in action profile) with expressions.
Sending e-mail - standart mode.
Restart service - advanced mode with expression like:
('%SimpleStatus%'=='DOWN') and (%Recurrences% mod 3==1)
So service will be restarted on 1th, 4th, 7th etc consecutive results.

I do not think we implement "repeat alert PROFILE" option. Profile usually contains several actions that should be started in different orders based on test results.
I think we implement "repeat ACTION" option. The same action cannot restart service and send e-mail. There are must be 2 different actions. So I do not see any necessity for some additional splitting.
