Hi !
I would like to wish list the ability to transfer a file from a remote machine to HostMonitor or vice versa through an action in the alert profile.
Example:
A test discovers that a log file on a remote server logged that something went wrong.
The alert profile will then have the ability to warn some people (as we already do) *and* transfer this logfile to a direcory where the appropiate people can check it.
Thanks !

Send E-mail action offers the "Attach file" option. You may select a file from the Open File dialog or use <<IncludeFile=path_to_the_file>> directive right in mail profile.

I think, it is more convenient way, isn't it?

Max,

Yes, but only local files (placed on the local server that HM runs on) or files accessible through the network can be attached, right ?
I noticed just today that HM now supports directory browsing through RMA e.g. when selecting a file to monitor in a File/Folder Availability test - if this functionality could be extended so that files on a remote server could also be attached to a mail it would be really cool.
And/or - as I suggested - extend this functionality so that a file can be transferred as an action in an Alert profile (I belive that when pushing new versions of RMA to the servers in RMA Manager the agent already helps with the transfer of the new executable ?)
