We are using Hostmonitor to monitor our server 24 hours a day but luckly we are not working 24 hours.
We have a pager that will recieve e-mails from Hostmonitor during our Standby Times 06:00-22:30. Our Standby times are 06:00-22:30.
The problem is the time between 22:30 - -06:00 in the morning. If a message is sent out during these times it will be lost becuase the pages is not queuing .
What we currently are doing is collecting all messages that are send during the non-standby time and do a delay send. This is not perfect as if a test goes Bad then Good again both these messages will be sent out in the morning.
What we are looking for is a feature that at the start of the standbytimes (06:00) sends out a message with all tests that at that time are bad.
We would still need to keep the regular schedule for statistics and error analyies.
Collect Alerts and send in the morning.
Sounds like single alert profile with 2 actionsWhat we are looking for is a feature that at the start of the standbytimes (06:00) sends out a message with all tests that at that time are bad.
- Generate reports
- Send e-mail
should do that job. You may setup Scheduler (Options dialog) to execute actions at 6:00
