E-mail alerts
Hi. I have a question about e-mail alerts using advanced mode. I have ping tests set up to monitor connectivity on 5 minutes intervals and alert when the connection goes down, and again when it comes back up. When i have it alert on one failure, it works perfectly by using ('%Status%'=='No answer') ...

Transfer license
Is it possible to transfer a HM license from one machine to another?
On the same note, is it possible to use a license that had been previously installed on a computer that has now crashed?

NT Event log - Group event problems
Hello again. One of the events I have HostMonitor logging is changes to Security groups, such as when a member is added or removed. However some of the fields aren't resolving. For example: Security Enabled Global Group Member Added: Member Name: CN=Connie Smith,OU=users,DC=abcd,DC=com Member ID: %{...

you may install RMA on the same system and create EventLogDlls subfolder in RMA's directory, copy DLL from Windows 2000 into that folder and use agent to monitor Windows 2000 systems, while use HostMonitor to checks Windows 2003 and XP directly. This sounds like a good solution, however, in order t...

more than one msaudite.dll file
The MsAuditE.dll file is the main dll that events are formatted with, correct? Well how can you have two of those files in the EventLogDlls folder?; one for 2003 events and one for 2000 events. Because it seems like whenever i have one or the other in there, the corresponding Windows server type dis...

I upgraded to 6.24. I am going to wait for some more logs to generate before i send the HML file, just to be sure the problem is still occuring. Not that an upgrade should fix that problem, but just humor me. Another question is this: Is there a way to prevent duplicate entries with the same reply, ...

RMA error with one of three servers
I am monitoring three servers on a remote network. I have a RMA installed on serverA. HostMonitor reads event logs from ServerA and ServerB, but not ServerC. I can connect to ServerC from the RMA ServerA event manager. I have a ping test using the RMA to ping ServerC and it responds fine. However, t...

Assuming i am doing that correctly, the exported text file still lists each test individually. Therefore, you would still have to manually change each one. I suppose it would be easier this way if you wanted to do a lot of copy and paste, or maybe use a script to do a replace function, but apart fro...

NT Event Log alert conditions
Could it be possible in a future version to somehow change the event log alert conditions for multiple tests at once? For example, select multiple tests and add or remove a certain event ID or description for all of them. This could possibly be done by copying the idea of "Alert Profiles" ...

No. On this particular machine we are still using a trial of 6.20 Beta on a LAN. No RMA. Example of unwanted event IDs would be 538, 540, 576. None of those are in the list of Event IDs that i want, yet they are being found by the test and logged to the database. Yes the events that should not be re...
