I found the issue. Someone put another IP on that server and looks like it was a routing issue. not sure why it worked when it started and then died. Sorry for all of the threads.

My confidence is restored again and we do love the product.

Maybe I am missunderstanding the use of the agent??? I want to and thought that I could load one RMA in a branch accross the WAN and test everything in that branch like routers, switches, servers, volume size and so on. Is it meant to only test the server it is loaded on in the remote site?

Yes they do in fact if I change the test to go back and use Hostmonitor it responds alive right away. I have been running these tests for well over a year just without the RMA and have had no issues. I installed the RMA to get better results over the WAN but seem to be having an issue. For some reas...

I have a variety but the ones turned on now are ping only. The agent is on a server in the same vlan as the items it is testing. I also restarted the service and still no luck.

RMA issues stops responding

I setup the RMA on a server in a remote branch. I first had issues with it until I set the service account to use the same account HM was set to use. I changed all of the montoring for that branch to use the agent and things were fine. Now all of a sudden none of the tests get a response. I stopped ...

Web reports for different departments

I am wondering if there is a way to set web reports to only show a set of test results. For example we set up sales and accounting. We want to set SLA's and show the reports on the web but on for each department. Is there a way to setup HM to have that type of division of views, reports and son on. ...

Schedule restart of a service

I see where the alerts allow me to start, stop and restart a service. But, it seems that the service would have to be stopped before I can get the alert to proccess. Is there a function where I can schedule the restart of a service daily

Looks like you can do it once that folder has a child folder. If it is an a child of the root and empty you cannot drag and drop into it. If you create a folder in it you then can do it.

How to move folders so they are subfolders

Every time I try to move a root folder into another folder it just moves it above or below the folder. I want to move the folder into the folder in a sense making it a child folder. How?

Help with uses for comments

I was wondering if you had some examples of how people are usning comments in the tests. I am rebiluding all of our tests and would like to include this if it is valuable. I am just not quite sure how people are using them?

Different alerts for different times

How would I go about setting up diffeent alerts for different times. Example, I want to have my engineers email during the dya about a server going down but at night I want them paged. Under the current rules we get paged all day long. While in some cases that is OK other times it is a problem. Can ...

If I use the replicator how can I enter IP's but get the test to resolve and show the test by the server name not the IP. It is easier to look at the tests by name not IP
