All questions related to installations, configurations and maintenance of Advanced Host Monitor (including additional tools such as RMA for Windows, RMA Manager, Web Servie, RCC).
Every week when we carry out maintenance on about 100+ of our servers we have a large amount of tests intentionally go into failed state during this period.
After the maintenance is finished and we start to bring up the monitored services again we always have problems getting hostmonitor to begin monitoring cleanly again.
the first error we get is...
A Hostmonitor error window chain pops up containing
Thread Creation Error: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
A further hostmonitor error window pops up
Unable to write to Hostmonitor.ini
After a while the error will disappear and hostmonitor will settle down and work normally however during the 30 minutes it a takes for this to happen Hostmonitor is essentially unusable due to all of the error messages popping up.
Any help you could give would be much appreciated.
A Hostmonitor error window chain pops up containing
Thread Creation Error: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
"Not enough storage is available to process this command" means Windows is out of resources (some internal structures).
Could you check resource usage on the system for each process when this error appears?
You may use standard Windows Task Manager to check Handles, GDI and USER objects.
What is the total resource usage on the system?
How many handles/threads/GDI objects used by hostmon.exe process?

Unable to write to Hostmonitor.ini
Could you check disk space on the drive where Hostmonitor.ini located during this error ? You may use UNC test or Drive Free Space test method for that purpose.
What version of HostMonitor do you use?
Windows?
Service Pack?
Do you use ODBC logging or ODBC test method? If yes, what ODBC driver do you use?
Do you have installed some antivirus monitors, personal firewall, content monitoring software? Non stanard winsock components?
