well, I upgraded from v1.39 to v6.10.
Now I wanted to check the same services, CPU etc as in the old version. So i saved the .hml file of the old version, and importet it. It worked for a couple of seconds:
09.03.2007 10:20:25 CPU Domino/Mail Unknown CPU Usage
09.03.2007 10:23:19 CPU Domino/Mail Ok 2 % CPU Usage
09.03.2007 10:23:36 CPU Domino/Mail Unknown CPU Usage
I didnt change anything from 10.23.19 until 10.23.36?!
Its a Windows2000 Server.
CPU Test works in v1.39 but not in v6.10

Re: CPU Test works in v1.39 but not in v6.10
We recommend to use "Upgrade/Repair" installation mode to upgrade to newer version. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... tm#Installcoach86 wrote:So i saved the .hml file of the old version, and importet it.
If you install the newest version into different location, we recommend to copy all *.hml, *.lst and *.ini files at once, not just *.hml http://www.ks-soft.net/cgi-bin/phpBB/vi ... php?t=1099
Could you try to create new CPU test to monitor CPU usage on Domino/Mail server and check how it works? Do you check CPU usage on local or Remote machine?coach86 wrote:It worked for a couple of seconds:

i log in the same way as I used to in the old version on the other computer. If both HostMonitors run at the same time, the old version can check the CPU with the same konfiguration and connection data, but the new one, on the newer computer cant...

Is HostMonitor started as a service or as an application? What account do you use to start HostMonitor? "CPU Usage" test requires permissions of the admin account. Do you use "Connect as" option? Could you try to use "Connection Manager" to specify account for the remote system: http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... htm#conmgr
Please make sure
1) RPC service is started on both systems
2) Remote Registry Service started on target system
3) PerfOS.DLL is enabled on target system*
4) HostMonitor is started under admins account (necessary for CPU Usage and Performance Counters test methods)
5) There are no firewalls between 2 systems
6) admin account has KEY_READ access to the following registry key on target system
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows_NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib

BTW:
- why you are using version 6.10? I would recommend 6.54 or 6.72
- what is your registration name?
