Daylight saving Time change early this year

Post by bducharme »

Is there something to do for the Daylight saving Time change ?
Is there a FIX, bugs or something ?
How does Hostmonitor react to the microsoft patch ?

Thanks
Ben

HostMonitor uses system time, so it should not be a problem.

Soryy for asking but ...

It is or it's not a problem ?
I have to be sure. ( I say that because of the "should" )

Thanks

HostMonitor does not care when exactly you change system time. You may change it right now and see what happens.
E.g If you change 1pm to 2pm, you will get 1 hour gap in the logs. If you change 2pm to 1pm, HostMonitor will pause monitoring for 1 hour, so you will not see duplicated records in the logs.

Thanks for the quick response.
My concerns were about the time zone changes that the patch do.
With that, i have all the info I need.

Yea this time zone change sucks.. for admins..

BTW the MS patch when applied to an Exchange server will make your blackberry users unable to send emails..
It messes up a DLL that works with LDAP and certain user rights.

just a heads up.. we just found this out..
