Hi,
I have setup multiple users to access different monitoring folders. After defining the folders and rights on the tests I save the HML file as usual. When I go back and check the user permissions again the Root folder has disappeared and the user is useless.
It is running WinXp SP2 and version 6.54 of hostmon.
thanks,
Gavin

Sorry, coud not reproduce the problem. I suppose, there several instances of HostMonitor are running on the system. Could you verify how many processes hostmon.exe are running? You may use standard windows Task Manager > Processes tab to figure it out.
Have you change the settings using HostMonitor itself or using RCC?
Regards,
Max

What account have you specified to start hostMonitor's service? Please make sure you have specified proper account using "Options > Service" tab. Are you sure that account have enough permissions to the HostMonitor's folder?
Have you installed service properly? http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... tm#Service
Probably, you started hostmon.exe application, to change some settings, while service was running?

Max

The account is running under a domain admin account and so has full rights to the machine. The details for it are in correctly.
I have called hostmon from the icon in the system tray after the service has started, I have not opened it through the application shortcut.
All of the other changes are saved i.e. adding/deleting tests.
thanks,
Gavin

Probably you are using "Save as" menu item?I save the HML file as usual
Quote from the manual
RegardsNote: HostMonitor uses GUID to identify HML files and a unique FolderID to identify a user’s home folder. This means if you copy or rename the file, rename or move the home folder, HostMonitor still knows what home folder is assigned for each user. However, if you use menu “File”->”Save as”, HostMonitor will assign new GUID to new HML file. In this case, it may be necessary to reassign the home folder for the operators except when they have access to all/root folder.
