Hi,

For me, it's not really interesting.
For now, I'm satisfied with the current reporting possibilities.

Regards,
Gert

You bet. The ability to have interactive reports would be an excellent addition to the program. It opens up a lot of new possibilities. If we would be able to customize what columns display in the dialog box that would be great too. Thanks!

This is very nice. Is this the only option for a compact display or can the buttons be bigger to hold the test name as well?

I like it and would like to see it soon

You will be able to define button properties using external HTML header. HostMonitor will use 1st selected field to display text on the buttons.

Looks good so I'd say go for it. A concise web view on the mass of data that can grow in a HostMonitor system is a great idea (BTW that is a property of any monitoring system
not just HM in particular!)

If there was a corresponding link off the bottom section with the;

Tests with "Good" status 20
Tests with "Bad" status 3
Tests with "Unknown" status 2

...that automatically displayed just the malfunctioning tests/systems that would increase the utility of this view x 100!

It can do it using current version of HM. Just create several report profiles: one profile with all data fields unmarked will create report with statistical information (and with links to another reports); into 2nd report profile you can include only "Bad" tests; into 3rd profile include only "Good" tests.

Very nice! If at all possible, I would highly recommend seeing the information when the mouse is moved over the block instead of having to click on it. The info should disappear when moving the mouse off. I wrote a similar interface a couple of years ago that dumped all the information into the ALT tag for the picture.

Thanks.

I was thinking about that. But you can use different color palettes for reports, it means HostMonitor must create temporary files with images using different colors. And HM will not be able to remove all these files because it doesn't know do you still need some report or doesn't. As result you will have a lot of small gif files on your system and you will need to copy all these files to your web server. So, I think better create just one html file for each report

Have you considered using a template, so the end-user can build their own html reporting? It could be done using existing macro variables. The end-user would simply write a template for the folder and line, and HM would plow through it recurisively for each folder. SA at http://www.woodstone.nu has a similar feature. I'm actually an SA convert, HM scales better and performs more cleanly with more control.

Thanks again.
