Testing a telnet session

Hi there,
We have a system which users have to telnet to and create/process orders. I would like to create a test which would telnet to the server and login. And I want the result to be the output of whether the login was successful or not. Do I have to create a shell script for a particular test like this?

Yes, you should create your own test. You may use Shell Script, Active Script or External test method to launch your script.
