Global Test Editing

Post by dbrown1 »

I know I am probably missing it very clearly.. but..

I would like to edit the global test (so that it applies to all tests) to exclude a certain event ID.. I know you can do it in each test, but I would like to do it globally for the NT EVENT TEST

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks! :)

So, do you want to change some parameters for all NT Event Log Test?
In such case you may select all NT Event Log Test end click "Edit" button on toolbar. Also you may use HMS scripts with SetTestParam or ReplaceTestParam command:

Not sure I understand the question. What is "global test"?
If you want to change some "common" parameter for set of tests, you may select the test items and click "Edit" button on toolbar. This way you may change comment, related URL, schedule, alert profile and other common parameters.
If you want to change some test specific parameter, you should edit test items one by one or use Export/Import features. Menu File allows you to export test settings into text file. Then you may modify text file using any text editor and import test settings back to HostMonitor
