Do you mean Asterisk - Open Source telephony switching and private branch exchange (PBX) daemon (www.asterisk.org)? Or something else?

Can we send something UDP based test i.e. REGISTER message to port 5060 and look back for 200 OK message.

If I am right, i am not able to do that from AHM

Any other ideas.

Why not? I think you should try TCP or UDP test: http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... ts.htm#tcp

UDP test allows you to send data to specified host:port, wait for answer and check reply. What exactly in this scheme does not work properly?
