action restart service only when service is failed

hi,

i want to restart an service only when the service fails not when my admin stops the service.

i tried this with the option : "Do not start service if it was stopped prior to execution of the action"

it doesn't work, it start's the service when i stopped it normally
and when it breaks down.

what's wrong?

Sorry, we could not reproduce such problem.
What exact service do you want to restart?

So, as I understand, you have set Service Test up, and specify Restart service action to restart such service in case it fails, right?

What value is selected on Recovery tab of that service Properties applet (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services and dblclick on certain service)?

Perhaps, there are any other actions, that could restart that service?
