Edit config files

Post by wax »

Hi,

We have several web sites to monitor. Is it possible to edit config files ? So, when a web site is created or deleted, HostMonitor will "see" changes...

I plan to edit config files with vbs or asp script...

thanks a lot

So you want to make changes in test list? You cannot do that directly but you may use import file and/or HMScript file. E.g. you may create test item (e.g. File Availability test method) that will check for specific file; use "Run HM script" action to execute that file as a script. In a script (http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... #actScript) you may use commands to create new test list, import tests from a text file, disable or enable some items, and so on.
