XP SP2 Issue

XP SP2 Issue

Hi there,

i've got the following problem:

When i try to monitor a service of an Windows XP Prof. Workstation with SP2 and enabled Firewall i only get status unknown. If i turn of the firewall than everything is fine.

Are there any special Ports that Hostmonitor use? Than i will put them in the firewall allowed port-list.

HostMonitor uses Windows API to check services. Windows API uses RPC. RPC may use any port above 1024.
So, If you want to check some service on system behind firewall, I would recomment to use RMA
