I have HM set to dial a beeper and it says it was successful but it says:
Error: Cannot release COM port.
Why is it saying that? I'm actually have it dial my office phone (a regular phone) for now, just to test it, but it's not working. Should HM care whether it's dialing a regular phone or a beeper? Shouldn't my phone ring, at least? Is the "cannot release" problem related to this?
I'm using version 5.12. It's the demo version, but I just purchased the Enterprise license.

What Windows do you use? Service Pack?
Could you try to add "FixedPagingPort=COM1" line into hostmon.ini file ([Misc] section) and restart HostMonitor?
Of course you should specify port that is used by your modem (instead of COM1).

If you are using correct phone number, then yes. Do you see any other errors in the log? Could you post complette log (log that appears in popup window)?Shouldn't my phone ring, at least?
