RMA

Post by hotgal »

Hi

I am a newbie to this program so please bare with me. I am running a Windows 2000 platform. I have installed HostManager on the server along with the RMA. However I am unable to add any agents to my list. I am constantly receiving the error :"Connection Error" Save Anyway". What can I do to rectify this problem.

Also within the Options, Mailer Settings, I do not have the option to setup who the email alerts should be going to"

I am running the trial version of this software.

Thanks

HostManager?? Probably RMA Manager?

You said you have installed RMA. But have you started it? Have you specified password for the RMA? Do you use the same password when you add agent to the list?

Destination address should be specified for alert. You may define many different alerts using different e-mail addresses. See http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... ctions.htm

I had this same issue:
error :"Connection Error" Save Anyway".
Found out I upgraded from an earlier version 4.14 to 4.30, and manually copied the agents.lst file over the top (didnt see the export button).

Note: DON'T DO THIS!

Fix: Reloaded the original version of host manager - exported, and imported the RMA files.

Hope this helps someone.
